Graphics Hints

Animated graphics and link buttons on this web site don't seem to displaying properly? You might want to try downloading and installing the latest version of Java onto your system. It's free!

If the pages seem to be taking too long to load, and if the pictures are not all that important to you, you can greatly increase the download speed by turning graphics off. In Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" and select "Internet Options" from the drop-down menu. Then click on the "Advanced" tab. Under the "Multimedia" category, make sure the "Show image download placeholders" is checked, then uncheck the "Show Pictures" option. Click "OK" to save your changes. You will still be able to display pictures one at a time by right-clicking on the picture place-holder and selecting "Show Picture" from the drop-down menu.

How to Search for Products using our
new Product Database Search Engine.

Basic Search

1. Enter the name of the product, any ingredient, any ailment or health concern, any body system or organ, or the specific product number. If your keyword appears anywhere in our product database, the appropriate products will be displayed. For example, if you search for the word "kosher" you will find all of our certified kosher products; if you enter "alfalfa" you will receive a list of our alfalfa products plus every product that contains alfalfa as an ingredient; if you enter "respiratory" you will find all products specifically formulated for support of the body's respiratory system. Experiment a bit and you will be pleasantly surprised at the results.

2. Select "All Words" to make sure that the response contains all the words you entered in the search box; select "Any Words" to return any result that contains any of the words you entered; select "Exact Phrase" to return results that contain only the exact phrase that you entered.

3. If you only want to search for certain categories of products (liquid herbs, for example), use the drop-down list to select only the product category you wish to search.

4. Then click the yellow "Go" button to execute your search.

5. Use the Advanced Search options to fine-tune your search even further.

Suggested Usage

The suggested usage of the products in our database is the amount recommended for maintenance of a normal healthy condition. According to Dr. Jack Ritchason (Little Herb Encyclopedia, Vitamin and Health Encyclopedia), it takes as much as five to seven times as much nutrition to repair and heal the body as it does to maintain the body. Thus, your Natural Health Professional may suggest using much more of a particular product than that listed in our product information.

Some Important Definitions

Capsules: The gelatin capsules that NSP uses are 100% bovine (beef) gelatin, and all are certified kosher.

Vegitabs: The Vegitabs come in 7/8 round and small oval coated tablets. These are vegetarian, including the coating that is plant cellulose. Vegitabs are also normally approximately 10% stronger than the same product in capsule form.

ATC: Stands for Ancient Traditional Concept. These products are concentrated 4 to 1. What makes NSP's different is that the concentrate is spray-dried onto the herb instead of onto maltodextrin like most other companies.

TCM: Stands for Traditional Chinese Medicine. The ingredients in the products designated as TCM are the same as in the original Chinese formulas with the same names, but in a highly concentrated form.

Concentrated Products: The vendor sends NSP the native extract, which we blend with required herbs and then dry them. We then grind them down. When you see "standardized to x%" the percentage refers to how much of one concentrated capsule equals the potency of one regular capsule. For example, "50%" would be twice as potent, "25%" would be four times, "10%" would be ten times, etc.

Liquids and Extracts: These products are not concentrated. The liquid herbs will be in a vegetable glycerin and the extracts are in a natural alcohol and water base.

Homeopathic: These products are highly diluted and pure solutions that are recognized as medicines. The Homeopathic Guide (Stock No. 2191-1) will help the consumer to understand the uses of each individual product.
